The Phoenix Suns travel to the Golden 1 Center to take on the Sacramento Kings on Friday night.

The Phoenix Suns have been in a real slump as they’ve lost five of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting thrashed by the Lakers in a 122-111 road loss on Wednesday. Devin Booker led the team with 33 points, six rebounds and five assists, Chris Paul added 18 points while Landry Shamet chipped in with 15 points off the bench. As a team, the Suns shot 46 percent from the field and 12 of 31 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going offensively and were always a step behind, before they leaked 34 points in the fourth quarter to lose by double-digits in the end.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in fine form as they’ve won six of their last nine games overall, but they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting blown off the floor by the Celtics in a 132-109 loss on Tuesday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 18 points on six of 11 shooting, Domantas Sabonis tallied a triple-double of 16 points with 13 rebounds and 12 assists while Keegan Murray chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Kings shot 48 percent from the field and 17 of 44 from the 3-point line as they did a nice job of staying within striking distance in the first half, before they got blown out by 72-55 in the second half to lose their second game in a row.

Looking at the betting trends, the Suns are 5-0 ATS in their last five road games, 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a loss of more than 10 points and 0-6 ATS in their last six games overall. The Kings are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a double-digit loss at home and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall.

The Suns are shorthanded again as Kevin Durant and DeAndre Ayton are both out, while the Kings are keeping an eye on Kevin Hurter who is questionable with knee soreness. The Suns have been mired in their worst slump of the season and it’s been the role players who haven’t stepped up to support Booker who has been the hot hand lately. The Kings have cooled off a bit with a couple of losses on the trot, but they were on fire before those losses and I think they can get back to winning ways here. The Kings are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall and I think that trend continues here as the Kings bounce back with a win and cover at home.
