The Utah Jazz continue the search for their second win of the season when they battle the New Orleans Pelicans tonight.
The Jazz have really been in a world of hurt lately and it doesn't help when your last three games were against the Spurs and the Warriors (twice). On Monday night against the Warriors we saw the Jazz at their at their worst, scoring just 36 points in the first half and falling behind by as many as 28 points, before making their run in the second half and keeping the end score respectable. Gordon Hayward led the team with 18 points while Marvin Williams added 16 points off the bench, but the Jazz shot just 39.5 percent from the field and got next to no production from their Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter who combined for just 18 points.

Meanwhile, the Pelicans were able to snap a three-game skid on Saturday with a 135-98 annhiliation of the 76ers. As a team the Pelicans shot a blistering 60.5 percent from the field led by Ryan Anderson who led eight players in double figures with 26 points including six threes, while Eric Gordon added 19 and Jrue Holiday had 14 points with 12 assists. However, despite all those stats, my MVP for the night was actually Anthony Davis who put up a rare stat line of 13 points, nine rebounds and a career-high eight blocks. Despite the win, New Orleans is still only 4-6 on the season but they are now 3-2 at home.
In ATS trends, the Jazz are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall and 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven road games, while the Pelicans are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a win and 1-7 ATS in their last eight games following a win of more than 10 points.
The Jazz have won just one game all season and given the way they've been playing, they may have to wait a while for the second win. There's always a chance of a letdown game for the Pelicans coming off such a massive win, but I have next to no confidence in the Jazz in this game, especially being a road game. I'm taking New Orleans at home.
