The Dallas Mavericks head to Denver on Saturday night to square off against the Nuggets.
The Denver Nuggets are sitting at just 5-6 this season, and at home the Nuggets are 4-2. While that is a winning record at home, still Denver is known to have one of the toughest home courts in the league, and right now the Nuggets are definitely struggling. Denver is 3-2 overall in their last five games heading into Saturday, with their most recent outing resulting in a win against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday at home in Denver. The Nuggets defeated the Bulls 97-87, as five different players for the Nuggets reached double digit points on the night.

The Dallas Mavericks are off to a strong start this season, going 9-4 through their first 13, but on the road the Mavs are struggling, going just 2-4 overall on the year. Dallas has been hot lately though, winning four out of their last five. In Dallas’s last outing, the Mavs defeated the Utah Jazz handedly in Dallas, 103-93 on Friday night. This will be a tough challenge for the Mavs. Dallas has struggled on the road this year, and now with no rest they have to face a rested Nuggets team, in the thin air of Denver.
The Dallas Mavericks are 8-4 against the spread this season, and when playing as an underdog, the Mavs are 1-3 against the number. The Mavs are getting trouble getting wins on the road this season, but against the number the Mavs are faring a bit better, going 3-3 ATS this season.
The Denver Nuggets are 6-5 against the spread currently, and when the Nuggets are playing as a favorite, Denver is 2-2 against the spread this season. Also, after the Nuggets are coming off of a win of 10+ points, the Nuggets are 2-0 against the spread on the year, and when playing a team with a winning record, Denver is 3-3 ATS.
I’m on the Nuggets here. A couple big reasons for this one. Denver is well rested, and facing at Mavs team that is in back to back games, and heading to the thin air of Denver. The Nuggets really need this win, and the Mavs are just a completely different team on the road than they are at home. I’m on Denver here Saturday night.
