The Portland Trail Blazers head to the Oracle Arena on Saturday to face off against the Golden State Warriors.
The Golden State Warriors are currently sitting at 8-5 on the year. Golden State is coming off a loss to the Lakers on Friday night, falling to Los Angeles 102-95 at the Staples Center. The Warriors are still one of the better teams in the league for sure, but Golden State has dropped back to back games heading into this meeting with the Trail Blazers. Golden State is led offensively this season by Klay Thompson, who is having a tremendous start to the year, scoring an average of 20.5 points per game currently.

The Portland Trail Blazers are on a roll right now, as the Trail Blazers are currently sitting at 11-2 on the year, and have won a very impressive nine in a row. It won’t be easy against the Warriors on Saturday however as the Warriors have one of the better home courts in the league this season. The Trail Blazers are just an incredibly balanced team, allowing 97.8 points per game, while scoring an average of 103.3. The Warriors are also eighth in the league in rebounds per game, as well as 11th in assists per outing. In Portland’s last outing, the Trail Blazers defeated the Bulls, in Portland 98-95.
The Trail Blazers, heading into the weekend are a very impressive 9-3 against the spread this season, while also going 5-0 against the number as an underdog. The Trail Blazers are also 6-1 against the spread on the road this year.
The Golden State Warriors are 6-5 against the spread heading into this weekend’s games, and as a favorite, the Warriors are 4-3 against the number. When playing on Saturday however, the Golden State Warriors are just 0-2 against the spread this season.
I’m going to take the points with Portland in this spot. I don’t think the Trail Blazers will be able to keep their winning streak going through Saturday as the Warriors will be itching to break their two game losing streak, but getting more than eight with this hot Portland team right now looks like a solid side to be on Saturday.
