Lebron James and the Miami Heat look to close out their home-and-home series against the Orlando Magic win a win tonight.
The Heat are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 vs. NBA Southeast and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400, but just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a SU win of more than 10 points. The Magic on the other hand are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600, 17-37 ATS in their last 54 vs. NBA Southeast and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
Just like several other teams around the league this week, the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic will conclude their home-and-home series tonight after Lebron James and company made light work of the slumping Magic on Wednesday night, cruising to a 120-92 victory. With Dwyane Wade sidelined, the Heat used a even spread of scorers to take down the home team Magic as seven players finished the game in double-digits, led by Lebron James' 21 points.
Both teams were red hot from beyond the arc in Wednesday's game as they combined to shoot 30-54 from three-point land. In fact, the Magic only had 14 two-point field goals for the whole game, which is really low considering they still scored 92 points.
I'll be taking the over in this game for a couple of reasons. While I don't expect them to replicate their outside shooting from their game a couple of nights ago, the Heat have been one of the premier offensive teams this season and no reason to think they slow down tonight against a Magic team ranked in the bottom third in the league in points per game. Miami has improved their defense lately, but they still like the push the pace at home and I see this game going over 203 points...
