The San Antonio Spurs can make it 10 straight wins if they can get past the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight.
The Spurs have now won nine straight after beating the Grizzlies by 102-86 last night thanks to Tony Parker who scored 20 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter. Despite losing Marc Gasol to injury early in the game, the Grizzlies battled on and pulled to within 79-78 with 6:37 left in the game, but the efficient Spurs just kept moving the ball and made open shot after open shot to pull away with the victory. Tim Duncan had a quiet game of just eight points but the Spurs got 17 points from Tiago Splitter and Manu Ginobili added 15 points and seven assists off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Cavs have lost five of their last six and will be hoping to avoid a third straight loss after falling to the Pelicans by 104-100 last night. Kyrie Irving led the way with 22 points, while Jarrett Jack added 19 points off the bench, but the Cavs blew a late 12-point lead as the Pelicans closed the game on a 23-7 run. Extra possessions simply killed the Cavs last night as they committed a total of 21 turnovers while allowing the Pelicans to grab 19 offensive rebounds.
In ATS trends, the Cavs are 7-19-1 ATS in their last 27 games overall and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 road games, while the Spurs are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games following a win of more than 10 points.
The Spurs have dominated the Cavs in the past and when you look at the respective forms of both teams, there is little reason to think the trend will change tonight. Playing at home and coming off a big win, I'm expecting the Spurs to keep on rolling through opponents like they usually do.
