Could the Charlotte Bobcats be half decent? It’s probably too early to tell considering they started last season with a 7-5 record and won just 14 games the rest of the way, but they don’t look half bad so far, especially on the road. While Charlotte is 3-4 at home this season, they have a winning record on the road and have actually won four of their last five following their blowout victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on the weekend. You also have to consider that Al Jefferson has only played a handful of games thus far and is still get accustomed to his new team. The Bobcats should only get better as time goes on, as opposed to last season.
It's pretty clear the Boston Celtics aren't a good team, but they keep on popping up with these surprising wins. After stunning the Miami Heat on the road a couple of weeks ago on a buzzer-beating three-pointer by Jeff Green, the Celtics snapped their six-game losing streak on Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks, yet again on the road. It looked like Boston was dead in water against the heavily favored Hawks, trailing by double-digits at three quarter time. However, the Celtics would go on to outscore the home team 30-13 in the final term for their second biggest win of the season to date.
I wish I could tell you what's going to happen in this game, but I don't have a clue. I think Charlotte is the better team and they did win in Boston under two weeks ago, but their play at home has been pretty shaky at times. On the flipside, Boston is just an up and down squad, losing at home to the likes of Milwaukee and then winning on the road at Miami and Atlanta. I could see the Bobcats winning in a close one, but I just can't bring myself to pick this Jekyll and Hyde Celtics squad...
