The New Orleans Pelicans can grab their biggest win of the season if they can take down the San Antonio Spurs tonight.
The Spurs have now won 10 straight and aren't showing any signs of slowing down. Just ask the Cavaliers who were blown away by 126-96 on Saturday. In a game where the Spurs led by as many as 45 points, coach Popovich was able to give his starters plenty of rest, while giving every other player on his roster plenty of time on the court. In short, that game was an absolute clinic in how to play basketball.

Meanwhile, the Pelicans will be looking for a fourth straight win tonight after taking down the Cavaliers themselves. It wasn't nearly as easy to beat them as the Spurs showed, but behind 15 points and 11 assists from Jrue Holiday and 17 points and 13 rebounds from Anthony Davis, the Pelicans were able to come back from a late 12-point deficit to escape with a 104-100 victory. With the win, New Orleans improved to a modest 6-6 on the season and a solid 5-2 at home.
In ATS trends, the Pelicans are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a winning record and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall, while the Spurs are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a win of more than 10 points.
Head to head, the Pelicans are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall but just 4-10 ATS in the last 14 meetings in San Antonio.
It should come as no surprise that the Spurs are simply running through opponents to start the season, but 10 straight wins is still impressive. However, while I don't think the Pelicans can break the winning streak tonight, I do think they have enough to keep this game within 10 points so I'm going with the road team with the points in this game.
