The Dallas Mavericks hope to snap a two-game skid tonight when they host the Golden State Warriors.
The Mavericks have won six of their last nine but will be looking to avoid a third straight loss tonight after falling to the Nuggets twice on Saturday and then Monday. In the 110-96 loss on Monday, the Mavs took an early lead of 11 points, but allowed the Nuggets to go on a 21-6 run to end the first quarter and could never get back in the lead again. Monta Ellis led the team with 22 points while Dirk Nowitzki added 18 points, but the Mavs received next to nothing from their reserves who were outscored by the Nuggets' bench 41-21. The Mavs' bench has been guilty of not producing all season, but when Vince Carter has a tough night (three of 13 from the field), the bench looks absolutely terrible.

Meanwhile, the Warriors were able to snap a three-game skid last night when they snuck past the Pelicans by 102-101. Jermaine O'Neal filled in for the suspended Andrew Bogut and had himself a strong outing of 18 points, David Lee had 19 and Klay Thompson added 22 points. Stephen Curry struggled with his usually deadly jumpshot to score just 16 points but filled the stat sheet with eight rebounds, nine assists and three steals to help out the team. The win elevates the Warriors to 9-6 on the season and a solid 4-4 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Warriors are 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 road games and 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games overall, while the Mavs are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a double digit loss at home and 40-19 ATS in their last 59 games following a loss.
Head to head, the Warriors are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Dallas and the Under is 5-2 in the last seven.
The Warriors have been outscored by an average of 13.7 points in three games this season when playing on the second night of a back to back set, so they should be due for a win soon. However, the Mavs are an impressive 7-1 at home so far and I think their good form at the American Airlines Center continues tonight.
