The New Orleans Pelicans head to Philly on Friday to face off against the Sixers.
The Philadelphia 76ers are currently 6-10 on the year, trailing the Toronto Raptors by just one game in the Atlantic division. The Sixers have a very solid offense this season, led by Even Turner, who is averaging 21.4 points per game this season. The Sixers are also one of the best rebounding teams in the league, grabbing an average of 45.8 boards per game. Philly has struggled as of late however, going just 1-4 overall in their last five games, with their latest game resulting in a loss to the Magic, in Orlando on Wednesday, 105-94.

The New Orleans Pelicans are 6-8 on the year, and trail the Spurs by 6.5 games currently in the Southwest standings. The Pelicans are a pretty balanced team overall, scoring an average of 100.7 points per game, while allowing right at 100 per outing. The Pelicans have dropped two straight heading into their meeting here with the Sixers, but overall New Orleans is 3-2 out of their last five. Anthony Davis is just a machine for the Pelicans, leading the team with better than 19 points per game, while also leading in rebounds, and blocks per game.
The Pelicans are just 4-10 against the spread this season, and when playing on the road, New Orleans has been a tough play, going 1-5 against the spread overall. When New Orleans is playing against a team with a losing record, the Pelicans are 0-5 ATS on the season.
The Philadelphia 76ers are 9-7 against the spread overall this season and when playing at home, the Sixers are 5-4 against the spread. When the Sixers are coming off a game allowing 105+ points, Philly is 6-5 against the spread this season.
My play here is going to be on the total. I like the over in this one. Both teams are well rested coming in, and when the Sixers have the fresh legs, they are dangerous offensively. Davis will help keep the Pelicans in it, but New Orleans is going to have to score here, giving us some value on the over on Friday.
