NBA Daily Updates 12/2: Davis' Injury, Pacers Win Again, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
December 2, 2013
After a busy holiday weekend, the NBA will be slowing down a bit tonight with just five games on the schedule. There’s still plenty to talk about this morning, however, so while we’re waiting for tonight’s tips, let’s take a look across the league at some of the noteworthy players out there. Here’s the latest.
Paul George, SF, Indiana Pacers: George posted another solid outing for the Pacers, which in turn translated into another Indiana victory. He ended up with 27 points, six rebounds and five assists in the 105-100 win, adding a pair of steals and a block for good measure. George has posted at least 23 points in seven of his last 10 outings.
This was the first of a five-game road trip for the Pacers that will test their skills on the west coast. They’re in Portland tonight, then it’s off to Utah on Wednesday.

Andre Drummond, C, Detroit Pistons: If Drummond keeps playing this way, things will certainly be looking up for the Pistons. He posted season-highs all over the place in the 115-100 win over Philadelphia, with 31 points, 19 rebounds and six steals. It was Drummond’s third consecutive double-double and his eighth in the last 10 games.
Detroit is now 3-2 in their last five games and will hit the road for a three-game trip. Up first is a tough one against the defending champion Heat tomorrow night.
Stephen Curry, PG, Golden State Warriors: We all know Curry is capable of pouring in the points on a nightly basis, and that’s exactly what he’s done over the past couple of games. He notched 36 points, 10 assists and a pair of rebounds in yesterday’s 115-113 win over Sacramento. That gives him 68 points in his last two games combined. Curry also coughed it up seven times, however, so ball security will be an issue in the near future.
Let’s check out the 10-8 Warriors’ upcoming schedule. They’ll play the Raptors at home tomorrow, then embark on a three-game trip with stops in Houston, Memphis and Charlotte.
Anthony Davis, C, New Orleans Pelicans: Even though the Pelicans emerged victorious over an abhorrently bad Knicks team last night, they got some bad news on the injury front. Davis sustained a non-displaced fracture in his left hand, and will be out indefinitely with the injury.
His absence will certainly hurt the Pelicans’ interior game. Expect opponents to attack the rim indiscriminately while he’s sidelined.
NBA Daily Schedule: With just 10 teams in action tonight, it seems like a pretty slow evening around the NBA. Still, we should get some pretty good matchups mixed in there, so let’s take a look at the complete schedule.
