The Boston Celtics look for payback against the visiting Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night from TD Garden.
Head to head, the Bucks are 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings and 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Boston while the underdog is 13-5-1 ATS in the last 19 meetings. The Celtics are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record, but just 1-7 ATS in their last 8 vs. NBA Central and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games. The Bucks on the other hand are 29-11-1 ATS in their last 41 road games vs. a team with a losing home record, but just 11-30 ATS in their last 41 vs. Eastern Conference and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games.
To say it's been a rough start to the season for the Milwaukee Bucks would be putting it lightly. Having won just three of their first 16 games, the Bucks come into tonight's contest tied with the New York Knicks for the worst record in the entire league are currently ranked first in Chad Ford's Tank Rank article over as ESPN, detailing which teams are most likely to give away the season in return for the chance at a high draft pick in this upcoming NBA draft. One positive that has come out of their season is the fact that two of their three wins have come against tonight's opponent in the Boston Celtics.
These two teams met as recently as Saturday night as Milwaukee came from eight points down at quarter time to run away with a 92-85 victory, behind 22 points from OJ Mayo and 20 from his backcourt partner in Brandon Knight. In their first meeting back at the start of November, the Bucks also came from behind as they trailed 29-16 at the first break, yet rallied to come away with a 105-98 win.
There is every chance the Celtics get payback on the Bucks tonight, but there is also a chance that maybe Milwaukee just matches up well against Boston. I guess we'll find out after tonight.
Milwaukee are a bad team, but I don't think the Celtics are all that better, especially at home where they have struggled more than on the road this season. Again, bit worried about the revenge factor here for Boston, but I have to take the points when we are dealing with two average squads...
