Two of the best teams in the league duke it out tonight when the Indiana Pacers play the San Antonio Spurs.
The Pacers have won eight of their last nine and are coming off a 95-86 win over the lowly Jazz. Paul George had a rough shooting night, but still led six players in double figures with his 19 points despite suffering from flu-like symptoms. However, the Pacers won this game with old-fashioned defense as they held the Jazz to just 38 points in the second half. Indiana will be a little disappointed that they let the struggling Jazz team to hang around for the entire game, but it's always a positive when you find a way to win even when playing below your best.

Meanwhile, the Spurs have been in similar form lately and because their Wednesday game against the Timberwolves got postponed, they haven't played since their 102-100 win over the Hawks on Monday. In that game, Tim Duncan turned back the clock with 23 points and 21 rebounds and capped off the night with a game-winning jumper. Tony Parker added 15 points and seven assists and Boris Diaw added 16 off the bench to round out the scorers. With the win, the Spurs improved to 15-3 on the season and 8-1 at home.
In ATS trends, the Pacers are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall, while the Spurs are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games following an ATS loss and 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team above .600.
Head to head, the Pacers are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall and 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in San Antonio.
This is a blockbuster of a matchup and I can't wait to see how it unfolds, but picking a winner is going to be tough because both of these teams are in great form and match up so closely. However, home court advantage, extra rest and favorable ATS trends all point towards a win and cover for the Spurs in this game.
