The Memphis Grizzlies hope to avoid a third straight loss tonight when they play host to the struggling Orlando Magic.
The Grizzlies have lost four of their last six and are coming off a second straight loss after getting blown out by the Warriors on Saturday. After scoring just 81 points against the Clippers on Thursday, the Grizzlies got out to a slow start against the Warriors and shot just 36.5 percent from the field, resulting in a 108-82 loss. Mike Miller led the team with 16 points off the bench, while Zach Randolph and John Leuer added 15 points each, but the Grizzlies really struggled without starters Marc Gasol and Tony Allen. It didn't help that Jerryd Bayless missed all 11 of his shot attempts, but the more worrying aspect of the loss was that the usually solid Grizzlies allowed the Warriors to shoot 50 percent from the field, including Klay Thompson who poured in 30 points.

Meanwhile, the Magic have been struggling with injuries themselves, causing them to drop their last five straight after getting trounced by the Rockets by 98-88 last night. Glen Davis scored 18, Arron Afflalo added 16 and Jameer Nelson had 15 as the Magic got thoroughly beaten by the Rockets before getting a bunch of garbage buckets to keep the final score respectable. Orlando were still without Nikola Vucevic, who has been out with a left ankle sprain, but he could return to the court tonight which is why the bookies have yet to release the line for this game.
The bookies have finally released the line with the Grizzlies favored by nine points which seems a bit too hefty for my taste. Sure, the Magic are in a major slump but so are the Griz so I think the smart money has to be with the visitors and the points tonight.
