The Utah Jazz head to Sacramento on Wednesday to face off against the Kings.
The Sacramento Kings are sitting at 6-13 this season, while really struggling on their home court this year, going just 4-9 at home. The Kings are a balanced team, allowing an average of 100.8 per game, while scoring just under 99 points per game this season. Sacramento did make a big trade to bring in Rudy Gay, and it will be interesting to see how that dynamic effects Sacramento going forward. The Kings have won two in a row heading into Wednesday’s meeting with the Jazz, including a win over Utah on Saturday, 112-102 in Utah.

The Utah Jazz started off the season horribly, and are yet to gain any kind of momentum, as the Jazz are just 4-19 overall this season. Utah also just has one road win this entire season, going 1-10 overall away from home. The Jazz have dropped four out of their last five, with that one win in the stretch coming against the Rockets in Houston.
The Utah Jazz are 10-4 against the spread in their last 14 games following a double digit home loss, and the Jazz are just 1-4 against the spread this season when facing a team with a losing record. The Jazz are 0-4 against the spread overall, and Utah is just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games when playing on one day of rest.
The Sacramento Kings are a strong 6-1 against the spread when their opponent is coming off a game allowing 100+ points, and the Kings are 8-2 against the spread in their last ten games on a Wednesday. Sacramento is also 4-1 against the spread in their last five games overall.
It may be the popular play, which does scare me here a bit, but I have to back the Kings. Rudy Gay is expected to make his first start as a King, so it will be interesting to see how that works out, but look for the crowd to be behind their team here as there will be some added excitement.
I don’t love this play, and I will be on this one very small as I just don’t like putting much behind either team right now, but the angles are all with the Kings here as I have them as about a ten point favorite over Utah.
