The Sacramento Kings try to make it three straight wins against the Phoenix Suns when they collide tonight at the US Airways Center.
The Kings have lost seven of their last nine and are coming off a demoralising 122-101 loss to the lowly Jazz despite 21 points and 11 rebounds from DeMarcus Cousins. Isaiah Thomas added 20 points while Jimmer Fredette and Derrick Williams added 13 points each, but most of those points were in garbage time as the Kings found themselves down by 24 in the third quarter and as much as 28 in the fourth quarter. On the bright side, the big news is that Rudy Gay was allowed to practice yesterday and is available to play for his new team tonight so there's no telling how good this Kings team can be now.

On the other hand, the Suns have won five of their last seven and are looking for a fourth straight loss after taking down the Lakers by 114-108 on Tuesday. Goran Dragic led all scorers with 31 points while Eric Bledsoe added 18 points and nine assists, but the real x-factors for the Suns were the Morris twins who combined for 37 points off the bench and have been consistently productive all season. With the win, Phoenix improved to 12-9 on the season and 6-6 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Kings are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 road games, while the Suns are 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 games following a win and 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall.
Head to head, the Kings are 4-10 ATS in the last 14 meetings in Phoenix and the road team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings.
The Suns have really been in good form lately but they've lost their last three against the Kings, including two earlier this season. I do think the Suns will exact some revenge and win tonight, but I actually prefer taking the Kings with the points in what I think will be a close one.
