The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat do battle at the FTX Arena on Wednesday night.

The Cleveland Cavaliers haven’t been at their best as they’ve lost six of their past 10 games, but they will be gunning for a third straight victory after making light work of the Mavericks in a 114-96 road win on Monday. Jarrett Allen led the team with 28 points with 14 rebounds and three assists on 12 of 17 shooting, Lauri Markkanen added 24 points with eight rebounds while Darius Garland chipped in with 18 points and nine assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot a healthy 56 percent from the field and 10 of 19 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start and led by 11 points at halftime after holding the Mavericks to just 18 points in the second quarter, before exploding for 35 points in the third quarter to lead by as many as 31 points. Six players finished in double figures in scoring, but Ricky Rubio had a night to forget as he finished with just seven points on three of 11 shooting off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have been in great form as they’ve won six of their past nine games, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after getting pushed around by the Nuggets in a 120-111 home loss on Monday. Bam Adebayo led the team with 24 points, 13 rebounds and six assists, Max Strus added 19 points off the bench, Caleb Martin scored 18 points while Kyle Lowry chipped in with 17 points and 14 assists. As a team, the Heat shot 47 percent from the field and 15 of 44 from the 3-point line as they struggled right from the start and fell behind by as many as 24 points before pouring in 68 points in the second half to keep the final scores respectable.

Looking at the betting trends, the Cavaliers are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games, 8-22 ATS in their last 30 games against a team with a winning record and 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall. The Heat are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games, 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the over is 6-0 in the last six meetings overall, the Cavaliers are 1-12 ATS in the last 13 meetings in Miami and the Cavaliers are 1-7 ATS in the last eight meetings overall.

The Heat will welcome Tyler Herro back to the lineup after he sat out on Monday, but there is still an injury cloud over Jimmy Buter, Dewayne Dedmon, and Bam Adebayo. The Cavaliers have come to life with a couple of wins on the trot but they too will be shorthanded here as Cedi Osman and Dean Wade are both questionable in this one. I can see why the Heat would be heavy favorites at home, but they’re just so banged up right now, so I think the value is with the Cavaliers and the points as they could really spring an upset here.
