NBA Daily Updates 12/14: Celtics Take Knicks, Noah Goes Off, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
December 14, 2013
Last night featured a jam-packed schedule of games across the NBA, and we’re sure to see even more in today’s eight-game set. While we’re waiting on this evening’s tip-offs, let’s take a closer look at some of the noteworthy players out there and see what everyone’s up to right now. Here’s the latest.
Lance Stephenson, SG, Indiana Pacers: Stephenson had a solid game against the Bobcats last night, and ended up flirting with a triple-double. He posted 20 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists in the Pacers’ 99-94 home victory. That’s Stephenson’s first double-double since November 29.
Next up for the 20-3 Pacers is a home game against the Pistons on Monday. After that, they’ll have a big matchup in Miami on the 18th.

Jared Sullinger, PF, Boston Celtics: The Celtics pulled out a plucky win over the woeful Knicks last night, but really neither team should brag too much about their performance. The Celtics blew a 17-point lead in the first half, and the Knicks blew an 11-point lead late in the game, which ended as a 90-86 victory for Boston. Sullinger posted another nice line, with 19 points and six rebounds. He’s been in double-digit scoring for eight of the last nine.
The Celtics’ five-game home-stand continues Monday against Minnesota.
Kevin Durant, SF, Oklahoma City Thunder: After a subdued outing against the Grizzlies, Durant was back to his usual high-scoring ways last night against the Lakers. He posted a game-high 31 points on 10-of-13 shooting and added eight rebounds in the 122-97 win. Durant has now reached at least 30 points in three of his last four games.
The 18-4 Thunder have won five in a row. They’ll be in action again tomorrow night against the visiting Magic.
Joakim Noah, C, Chicago Bulls: Noah had himself an MVP-type game last night against the Bucks. He poured in 21 points, 18 rebounds, five assists, three steals and three blocks in the Bulls’ 91-90 comeback win. That makes four double-doubles in Noah’s last five appearances.
The win ends a three-game skid for the 9-12 Bulls, and they’ll be headed back to the United Center tonight against Toronto.
NBA Daily Schedule: 16 teams will be in action this evening, so it’ll be a very busy night for basketball fans. Here’s a look at the full schedule, along with the start times and TV networks carrying the games.
