The Utah Jazz kick off their five-game road trip tonight with a meeting with the Miami Heat.

The Jazz were looking for a third straight win heading into San Antonio on Saturday, but instead they were outclassed by the Spurs to the score of 100-84. Trey Burke had a strong outing of 20 points, while Gordon Hayward added 18, but the rest of the Jazz really struggled to score consistently, combining for just 34 percent shooting. In general, the Jazz didn't have the level of urgency or tempo they usually play with, but it was the second night of a back to back so fatigue probably played its part. With the loss, Utah fall to 6-20 on the season and 3-10 at home.

Meanwhile, the Heat were looking to bounce back from a loss to their rivals the Pacers, and that's exactly what they did when they took down the Cavaliers by 114-107 on Saturday. LeBron James scored 25 points against his former team, Dwyane Wade added 24 and Chris Bosh had 22 as the Heat let the Cavs take the lead after leading by as many 19 points, before pulling away late. With the win, Miami improved to 17-6 overall and 10-2 at home.

In ATS trends, the Jazz are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss of more than 10 points and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall, while the Heat are 17-7 ATS in their last 24 games against a team with a losing record and 1-4 ATS in their last five home games.

Head to head, the Jazz are 4-12 ATS in the last 16 meetings overall and 1-6 ATS in the last seven in Miami.

The Heat have been playing solid basketball all season but the bookies always lay so many points when the Heat play at home so it's always tough to take them to cover the spread. However, I have a feeling that the Heat's trapping defense is going to be too much for the Jazz's backcourt of Burke and Hayward so I'm taking the home team to win and cover tonight.
