Chris Paul and the Los Angeles Clippers go for a third straight win tonight when they host the New Orleans Pelicans.
Despite missing their leading scorer, shot blocker and rebounder in Anthony Davis, and a utiltity player in Tyreke Evans, the Pelicans were doing just fine until their last two games on the road where they lost to the Nuggets and the Warriors. On Tuesday against the Warriors, the Pelicans fell behind early and never looked competitive as Ryan Anderson led the team with 21 points and Jason Smith added 12. As a team, the Pelicans shot an abysmal 37 percent from the field. With the loss, New Orleans falls to 11-12 on the season and 4-7 on the road.

On the other hand, the Clippers have won four of their last five and are coming off a big 115-92 win over the Spurs. Blake Griffin topped all scorers with 27 points and nine rebounds, while Chris Paul flirted with a triple-double, scoring 23 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Jamal Crawford shot just five of 16 from the field to finish with 17 points so it will be interesting to see if he remains in the starting lineup, especially considering how weak the bench is without him. With the win, LA improves to 17-9 on the season.
In ATS trends, the Pelicans are 26-7-1 ATS in their last 34 games following a loss of more than 10 points and 8-20 ATS in their last 28 road games, while the Clippers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 against Western Conference opponents.
Head to head, the Pelicans are 20-6 ATS in the last 26 meetings overall and 9-3 ATS in the last 12 in Los Angeles.
