The Boston Celtics collide with the Washington Wizards on Sunday afternoon from TD Garden.
The Celtics are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 home games, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 2 days rest and 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record. The Wizards on the other hand are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
I apologize for the shortness of this article, but I'm not feeling well so I'm going to cut straight to the chase.
In all honesty, I don't think there is much splitting the Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards in this one. Although the Celtics are coming off a 107-106 home defeat to the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night, they had won their previous two games against Minnesota and New York. Meanwhile, the Wizards are coming off two straight road wins at Brooklyn and New York and with Beal and Nene back, you would expect them to make their charge up the Eastern Conference standings.
Boston's last three games, which were all at home, have been decided by a combined nine points and I think we are in for another close one here. While you have to be impressed with what the Celtics have done this season, I just think Washington is the better team and I think they are definetly a playoff team if they can stay injury free. The trio of Wall, Beal and Nene will be too much in a close win for the Wiz...
