The Houston Rockets will be shorthanded tonight when they take on the Dallas Mavericks at the Toyota Center.
The Mavericks have lost four of their last six and will be hoping to avoid a third straight loss tonight after getting scorched by the Suns on Saturday to the score of 123-108. Dirk Nowitzki led the team with 21 points while Monta Ellis and Brandan Wright added 19 points each, but there was just no stopping the Suns from the perimeter as they made 15 of 30 from the three point line. The 123 points allowed was the most that any team has scored against the Mavs this season and with the loss, Dallas falls to 15-12 overall and 4-9 on the road this season.

Meanwhile, the Rockets have won three of their last six games and are coming off a comfortable 114-97 win over the Pistons despite playing without James Harden and Jeremy Lin. Dwight Howard led the scoring with a monster performance of 35 points, 19 rebounds and five assists, while Chandler Parsons added 20 points, but the big win came with a bitter aftertaste as the Rockets lost Patrick Beverley to a broken hand which will see him miss significant time. With Harden expected to miss time until he fully recovers from his ankle sprain, Aaron Brooks could see some time in the starting lineup as the point guard.
In ATS trends, the Mavs are 24-8 ATS in their last 32 games following a loss and 27-11 ATS in their last 38 road games, while the Rockets are 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games and 0-5 ATS in their last five games following a win.
Head to head, the Mavs are 23-9 ATS in the last 32 meetings and 9-4 ATS in the last 13 in Houston.
