The New York Knicks head to Orlando on Monday to face off against the Orlando Magic.
The Orlando Magic are sitting at 8-19 this season, and it appears that the early season momentum this Magic team had is gone. The Magic are just 5-8 at home this season, and while Orlando has played better on their home court this season compared to last, still there is room for improvement here. The Magic are led offensively by Arron Affalo, who is scoring an average of 21.8 points per game, for a Magic offense that is putting up 96.6 per game this season. The defense has struggled for Orlando however, giving up 100.7 this season.

The New York Knicks may be watching the playoffs from home this year as the Knicks are starting to look like one of the bottom feeders of the league. New York is sitting at 8-18 on the year heading into Monday’s meeting with the Magic. The defense is there for the Knicks, as New York ranks eighth in the league right now in scoring defense, holding opponents to 97.9 points per game on average. The offense is the issue here, as the Knicks are not playing well as a unit, and as a result are scoring just 94.7 points per game this season.
The Knicks are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games following an ATS loss, and the Knicks are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games following an outright loss. The Knicks are just 1-4 against the spread however in their last five Monday night games.
The Orlando Magic are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games following an ATS loss, and like the Knicks, the Magic are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games on Monday night. The Magic are 0-7 against the spread in their last seven meetings with the Knicks, and the Magic are 0-4 at home against the Knicks in that stretch.
Again, a tough call, but I’ll take the Magic here at home. The Knicks play horrible on the road, and while the Magic are far from world beaters, I’ll take them at home against the Knicks here.
