The Dallas Mavericks head to Chicago on Saturday to face off against Chicago and their tough defense.
The Chicago Bulls have disappointed many this season as the Bulls are just 11-16 on the year. Obviously, losing Rose once again was a huge blow to this team, and while others like Deng have stepped up and put up nice numbers, this Bulls team just cannot find their offense. Chicago is ranked 30th in the league currently in points per game, averaging just 91.9 per outing. The defense is there once again, and if the Bulls have any shot at the post season, Chicago will need to rely on the defense. The Bulls are ranked second in the league currently in scoring defense currently, allowing 92.7 points per game.

The Dallas Mavericks are sitting at 16-13 this season, and currently the Mavs trail the Spurs by just 6.5 games. This is a number that can be overcome, but with both Houston and the Spurs ahead of the Mavs in the Southwest, Dallas will need to improve to keep pace. The Dallas offense is again solid this season, ranking seventh in the league with an average of 103.9 points score per game. Leading the way for the Mavs offense is Nowitzki, who is putting up 21.6 per outing. The Mavs have dropped three out of their last four heading into this meeting with the Bulls.
The Mavs haven’t done that well against the East lately, going 1-4 against the spread in their last five games. The Mavs are also just 2-8 against the spread in their last ten games after allowing triple digits the game before. The over is 6-0 in the last six games for the Mavs.
The Chicago Bulls are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games against the West, and the Bulls are 1-5 against the spread in their last six games after a straight up win. The Bulls are also 1-5 against the spread in their last six home games against a team with a losing road record.
I have to take the over in this spot. The odds makers have set this line pretty low, and with Chicago's offense I can see why. The Mavs will try and up tempo the Bulls and should be able to put up their fair share of poitns, and the Bulls will have to up the pace as well to keep up.
