The Orlando Magic will head to Cleveland on Thursday to face off against the Cavs.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are sitting at 10-21 this season, while going a positive 8-7 at home. This Cleveland team is drastically different at home than they are on the road this season, which does not bode well for this struggling Orlando team coming to town. The Cavs are currently scoring just 96.2 points per game this season, and defensively the Cavs are allowing 102.4. Numbers that need to move in the opposite direction if the Cavs want to make any noise at all this season.

The Orlando Magic head into Cleveland on Thursday with a record of 10-21 as well, but the Magic are really struggling on the road this season, as Orlando is just 3-11 overall away from home. The Magic are playing pretty well defensively this year, holding opponents to a respectable 100.4 points per game, but like the Cavs, the offense just isn’t there for this team. Leading the offensive attack for the Magic this season is Afflalo, who is scoring an average of 21.7 points per game on the year.
The Magic are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games this season when facing at team with a winning home record, and the Magic are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games on the road. Orlando however, is just 5-2 against the spread in their last seven Thursday night games.
The Cavs are 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games against a team with a losing record, and in their last nine games at home, the Cavs are a solid 5-2 against the spread.
Tough call here, but I’m going with the under. Neither the Cavs, nor the Magic are putting up much offense this season, and I do like Orlando’s defense in this matchup. The Cavs play well at home, but I just don’t see Cleveland having the offensive attack to pull away from this Magic team, making a play on the total the safest bet here on Thursday.
