The Oklahoma City Thunder look to snap out of mini slump tonight when they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.

For just the second time this season, the Thunder have lost back to back games after falling to the Blazers and the Nets during the week. Portland are one of the hottest teams in the league, so that loss didn't hurt too much but the 95-93 loss to the struggling Nets on Thursday must have really hurt. Kevin Durant led the team with 24 points while Serge Ibaka added 10 points and 11 rebounds, but the Thunder will be rueing their missed chances after blowing a 16-point lead and allowing the Nets to come back and win the game on a buzzer beater from Joe Johnson. With the loss, OKC drop to 25-7 overall and 14-3 at home.

Meanwhile, the Wolves have won three of their last four and are coming off a 124-112 win over the Pelicans thanks to a balanced scoring attack which had seven players finish in double figures. Nikola Pekovic led the scoring with 22 points, Kevin Love had 21 and Kevin Martin had 20 points as the Wolves shot a healthy 55 percent from the field to improve to an overall record of 16-16 and a home record of 10-5.

In ATS trends, the Thunder are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games against a team with a winning record and 6-1 ATS in their last seven road games, while the Wolves are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a win.

Head to head, the Thunder are only 3-8 ATS in the last 11 meetings overall and 0-6 ATS in the last six in Minnesota.

I found it a little surprising to see the Thunder as slight underdogs in this game, but you can't ignore the trends I mentioned above. For one reason or another, the Thunder have had little success in covering the spread against the Wolves and I'm expecting more of the same, especially with their recent form at home.
