Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks will be looking for a big win tonight when they take on the San Antonio Spurs.
The Mavericks have were able to avoid a third straight loss on Tuesday by blowing past the shorthanded Lakers by 110-97 on Tuesday thanks to 27 points from Dirk Nowitzki. Vince Carter added 19 points off the bench while Monta Ellis struggled early in the game before finishing strong to contribute 16 points, nine assists and five steals as the Mavs won the fourth game in their last six outings to improve to 20-15 overall and 12-6 at home.

Meanwhile, the Spurs may still be recovering from their dramatic 110-108 overtime victory over the Grizzlies last night. Tim Duncan dominated inside with 24 points and 17 rebounds while Marco Belinelli added 19 points, but the Spurs blew a 16-point lead in the fourth quarter and had to regroup and start with the scores leven in overtime. Fortunately, the Spurs executed down the stretch and turned to Manu Ginobili who saved the day with the game winning layup to send the Spurs to 27-8 on the season and 14-3 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Mavs are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games playing on no days rest and 37-16 ATS in their last 53 road games, while the Spurs are 4-0 ATS in their last four games playing on no days rest and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games.
Head to head, the Mavs are just 2-10 ATS in the last 12 meetings overall and 1-4 ATS in the last five in San Antonio.
The Spurs should have cruised to a nice double digit win over the Grizzlies last night but took their foot off the gas and had to win the game in overtime. I'm sure the Spurs will win this game again tonight, but I actually like the Mavs with the points on the road
