The Miami Heat head to Brooklyn on Friday night to face off against the Nets.
The Brooklyn Nets are currently sitting at 14-21 this season, and while that number is far from impressive, the Nets are still in second place in the Atlantic division. Brooklyn has been banged up this season, but the Nets are starting to get healthier, and as a result we are starting to see some better play on the court. Brooklyn has now won four in a row heading into this meeting with the Heat, with three of those four wins coming on their home floor. Last time out, the Nets defeated the Warriors 102-98 on Wednesday night.

The Miami Heat head to Brooklyn on Friday to face off against a red hot Nets team. The Heat are of course till one of the elite teams this season with a record of 27-9. The Heat are almost going through the motions at this point, and like I’ve said before, I don’t feel that Miami really cares whether or not they are a one seed heading into the playoffs, they just want to remain healthy and have some fresh legs under them. Miami dropped their last outing, falling to the Knicks on Thursday in New York, 102-92.
The Heat are 8-2 against the spread in their last ten games when playing on no rest. The Heat however, are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games on the road, and the Heat are just 3-7 against the spread in their last ten games overall.
The Nets are 4-0 against the spread in their last four home games, and the Nets are also 4-0 against the spread in their last four games overall. Brooklyn is also 7-2 against the spread in their last nine games following an ATS victory.
I’m going with the over here on Friday. The Miami Heat will be looking for a win here, as Miami has too much pride to drop back to back games against the Nets and the Knicks. The Nets however are playing well right now and have a ton of confidence going into this one. Miami’s defense will give this Brooklyn offense some trouble, but I look for both the Heat and the Nets to be productive offensively here, likely pushing this one over the 200 mark.
