The Dallas Mavericks look to complete the home and home sweep when they play the New Orleans Pelicans tonight.
The Pelicans had their first look at life without Jrue Holiday and it wasn't pretty. Eric Gordon scored 27 points while Anthony Davis had 21 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks but the Pelicans struggled on offense and eventually fell by 107-90 to the Mavericks last night. Brian Roberts filled in for Holiday at the starting point guard position but had just nine points as Gordon and Tyreke Evans took on more of the ball handling duties. With the loss, New Orleans fall to 15-20 overall and 9-7 at home.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks came out strong last night and scored 62 first half points and cruised to victory in a game where they led by as many as 23 before taking the foot off the gas. Dirk Nowitzki scored 24 points and Monta Ellis had 23 points and eight assists for the Mavs who shared the ball and made a season-high 14 three pointers. Despite the win, the Mavs have just two victories in their last five games, but improve to 21-16 on the season.
In ATS trends, the Pelicans are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games following a double digit loss at home and 0-6 ATS in their last six games overall, while the Mavs are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 1-4 ATS in their last five home games.
Head to head, the Pelicans are 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings overall and 1-3-2 ATS in the last six in Dallas.
The Mavs have now won 17 of the last 19 and the last five straight against the Pelicans and I really can't see why we should expect anything different tonight. The Mavs will win this one by double digits, lock it in.
