The Orlando Magic will definitely have their hands full on Saturday when the Magic head to the Pepsi Center to face the Nuggets.
The Denver Nuggets are currently sitting at 18-17 this season, and are in third place in the Northwest division. The Nuggets trail the Thunder and the Trail Blazers by 8.5 games at this point as OKC and Portland are currently tied for the division lead. The Nuggets are playing some very good ball lately, as Denver has won four in a row heading into this meeting with the Magic. The Nuggets latest victory came against the Thunder on Thursday night, beating OKC 101-88 in Oklahoma City’s own house. This will be the final home game in a three game stretch for the Nuggets before they head on the road for a couple of games starting on Monday.

The Orlando Magic are 10-26 this season, and on the road this team has really struggled, going 3-15. The Magic are currently bringing up the rear in the Southeast division, trailing the division leading Heat by 16.5 games at this point. This team is led offensively by Afflalo, who is putting up a respectable 20.8 points per game. Orlando has now dropped six straight heading into this meeting with the Nuggets. This will be the third game in a four game road stretch for the Magic, and considering the Nuggets are one of the stronger home teams in the league this season, it’s a tough spot here for the Magic.
Orlando is just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games on Saturday’s and the Magic are 0-5 against the spread coming off an outright loss.
The Nuggets are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games on Saturday’s and the Nuggets are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games against a team with a losing record.
Tough call, but I’m going with the under here. The odds makers look to have been a bit aggressive in this spot. I don’t see this Magic offense putting up a ton of points against the Nuggets, and Orlando’s defense actually matches up pretty well with Denver’s offense. Don’t love this one, but for my free pick, I’ll be on the under here on Saturday.
