The Oklahoma City Thunder will be heading to Memphis on Tuesday to face off against the Grizzlies.
The Memphis Grizzlies are struggling this season, going just 17-19 on the year, and currently are fourth in the Southwest division. The Grizzlies still have their stifling defense, which is currently ranked sixth in the league, holding opponents to an average of 97.6 points per game. The big issue here is the offense. The Grizzlies are scoring just 96.6 points per outing, ranking them 21st in the league, and in a tough division like the Southwest, that won’t get it done. Memphis has won back to back games heading into this meeting with the Thunder, with their latest win coming on Sunday against the Hawks in Memphis, 108-101.

The Oklahoma City Thunder head to Memphis on Tuesday with a record of 28-9 on the year, and a road mark of 12-6. The Thunder got off to a bit of a rocky start to the year, but since the Thunder are turning into the team we all expected to see, which is one of the elite teams in the NBA this season. The Thunder are in the top ten in most categories this season, with an offense that is ranked fifth, and a scoring defense ranked seventh in the league. The Thunder are also currently the top rebounding team in the NBA, grabbing an average of 47 boards per game. Durant is having another amazing season for OKC, scoring an average of 29.6 points per game. OKC has struggled a bit lately, dropping two out of their last three heading into this meeting with the Grizzlies.
The Thunder are 6-0 against the spread in their last six games against the Southwest, and the Thunder are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games when playing off of two days of rest.
The Grizzlies are 5-0 against the spread following an ATS win, and the Grizzlies are 6-0 against the spread in their last six games overall. Memphis is also 5-1 against the spread in their last six home games.
I get why the odds makers set this number on the low side, but it looks to me like they were a bit aggressive. The Thunder can put up points on anyone, and if the Grizzlies are going to keep pace, Memphis will need to answer. Two good teams defensively here, but situationally I could see this one getting up around the 200 mark.
