The Denver Nuggets head to the Oracle Arena on Wednesday night to face off against the Golden State Warriors.
The Golden State Warriors are currently sitting in second place in the Pacific division, trailing the Los Angeles Clippers by three games. The Warriors have a record of 25-14 on the year, and at home, the Warriors are playing excellent ball, going 12-4 this season. The Warriors again have a top ten scoring offense this season, putting up an average of 103.3 points per game, but the defense for Golden State has stepped up as well, allowing just 98.4 per outing. The Warriors have been red hot lately, winners of 11 of their last 12. In their last outing, the Warriors got back into the win column, defeating the Boston Celtics on Friday, 99-97.

The Denver Nuggets head to Golden State on Wednesday night with a record of 19-18 this season. The Nuggets have struggled on the road this year, going just 8-10 overall away from home. Denver’s offense is stout again this season, but if the Nuggets want to make any kind of noise in the competitive West, Denver will need to step up their play on the defensive end of the court. Currently Denver is ranked 21st in the league in scoring defense, allowing 101.6 points per game on the year. Denver is also losing ground in a hurry in the Northwest division, trailing the division leading Trail Blazers by nine games.
The Nuggets are 8-2-1 against the spread in their last 11 games on Wednesday nights, and the Nuggets are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games overall. Denver is also 4-1 against the spread in their last five games when playing on just one day of rest. Denver is struggling on the road however, going just 1-5 against the spread in their last six road games.
The Warriors are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games following an ATS loss, and the Warriors are 8-2 against the spread in their last ten games when playing on three or more days of rest.
I have to take the Nuggets in this spot. I know the Warriors play outstanding at home, but I like the way Denver matches up here. Denver is the deeper team and takes care of the ball really well, and flat out the Nuggets just need this game more. I don’t know if Denver has enough to get the outright win, but getting seven with them looks solid.
