The struggling New Orleans Pelicans will be looking for an upset tonight when they take on the Houston Rockets.
The Pelicans have lost six straight but are coming off somewhat of a moral victory after challenging the Spurs in a 101-95 loss on Monday. Anthony Davis led the way with 22 points and 11 rebounds while Brian Roberts had a strong outing of 19 points, but there was just no slowing down Tony Parker who had 27 points or the rest of the Spurs who shot over 52 percent from the field. The Pelicans were really missing that extra scoring punch that they would have gotten from either Jrue Holiday or Tyreke Evans who both sat out with injuries. Still, New Orleans will be pleased with their effort despite falling to 15-22 overall and 9-8 at home.

Meanwhile, the Rockets have won four of their last five and will be looking to build on a comfortable 104-92 win over the Celtics on Tuesday. Dwight Howard dominated the paint with 32 points and 11 rebounds while Jeremy Lin added 16 points and nine assists. Chandler Parsons returned to the court and had a nice game of 14 points and seven rebounds, so the only real blemish from the win was James Harden who missed 12 of 18 shots and attempted just two free throws on his way to 16 points. The win elevates the Rockets to 25-14 overall and 10-9 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Rockets are 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 games following a win and 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a win of more than 10 points, while the Pelicans are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall.
Head to head, the Rockets are 4-10-1 ATS in the last 15 meetings overall and 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in New Orleans.
I was all ready to take the Pelicans with the points here, but the bookies are only giving five points which seems a little light for me so I'm just going to switch it and take the Rockets to record another nice win here and cover on the road.
