The Charlotte Bobcats will be looking to avoid a third straight road loss when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers tonight.
The Bobcats have lost eight of their last 10 but will be looking to build a little momentum after taking down the surging Knicks by 108-98 last night. Al Jefferson led the way with 35 points on 14 of 20 shooting despite his sore right ankle, while Kemba Walker added 25 points of his own, 12 of which came in the crucial fourth quarter as the Bobcats snapped the Knicks' five-game winning streak. With the win, Charlotte improve to 16-23 on the season and 9-11 at home.

Meanwhile, the 76ers are have come back to earth with four straight losses after four straight wins. In their latest outing, Spencer Hawes and James Anderson led the team with 17 points apiece, but the Sixers were always playing from behind after a horiffic second quarter where they allowed the Knicks to outscore them by 32-12. The biggest disparity between the teams was the production from the bench as the 76ers got outscored by the Knicks by 50-20. With the loss, Philadelphia drop to 12-25 overall and 7-11 at home.
In ATS trends, the Bobcats are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight games overall, while the 76ers are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games against a team with a losing record and 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall.
These two teams last met on Dec. 6 and it was the Bobcats who cruised to a 105-88 victory. A lot has happened since then and I actually think the struggling Sixers can cause the minor upset against the Bobcats here. Not confident about this pick at all, but my gut is telling me the home team can scrap a win tonight.
