The Chicago Bulls will be heading to Washington on Friday to face off against the Wizards.
The Washington Wizards are playing solid ball this year, currently owning a record of 18-19 on the season and residing in third place in the Southeast division. This Wizards franchise has been the doormat of the league for awhile, and while Washington is still a little ways off from seriously competing, it’s nice to see they are getting some pieces in place. The Wizards are playing well as of late, winning back to back games heading into this meeting with the Bulls on Friday. Last time out, the Wizards defeated the Miami Heat in Washington on Wednesday night, 114-97.

The Chicago Bulls are currently sitting at 18-19 this season as well, and while this is regarded as a rebuilding season for the Bulls now that Rose is out, Chicago has been stepping up their game as of late. Winning the Central is out of the question for this Bulls team as Chicago currently trails the Pacers by 12.5 games, but the playoffs are very much in reach for Chicago this season. The Bulls, like the Wizards have been playing better as of late, winning three out of their last four. Last time out, the Bulls got a win over the Magic on Wednesday, 128-125 in overtime in Orlando.
The Bulls are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games following an outright win, and the Bulls are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games on the road.
The Washington Wizards are 9-2 against the spread in their last 11 games against the East, and the Wizards are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games following an outright win of more than ten points.
Tough call and a game that I personally won’t be on Friday night, but having to pick here, I’ll take the Bulls. Washington is playing much better this season, but I like the way this Bulls team plays defense, and that and their rebounding game is something that can travel well, especially to a place like Washington where the home court advantage isn’t as strong.
