The Indiana Pacers host the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night from Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Head to head, the favorite is 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings. The Pacers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a losing road record, 23-7 ATS in their last 30 home games and 36-17 ATS in their last 53 games overall. The Clippers on the other hand are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 vs. Eastern Conference.
Everyone is aware that the Indiana Pacers own one of the better records in the NBA (currently the best at 31-7), however, not many people know just how dominate they have been against the spread as they have covered the number in 26 of their 38 games this season. The Pacers have made Bankers Life Fieldhouse a fortress over the last year or so and they have been especially good there so far this season, covering the spread in 15 of their 21 home games to date. Just look at their last three wins for example, which all happen to come at home against the likes of Washington, Sacramento and New York by an average of 26 points.
Many thought the Los Angeles Clippers might struggle without Chris Paul who when down with a shoulder injury at the start of the New Year, however, they have done anything but as they have won four straight following their 109-95 win over the New York Knicks last night. The Clippers haven't lost a beat offensively since Paul went down as they have averaged a whopping 118 points over their last four outings.
Have you seen Indiana's home results since before Christmas? They have been blowing out anyone that come into their arena as eight of their last nine wins at Bankers Life Fieldhouse have come by double-digits or greater and their last three have all come by 24 or more. They have been as dominate at any team out there this season and while the Clippers are playing really well without Paul, their competition hasn't been all that great with only one game coming against a team with a .500 record or better. There's no way I'm betting against this Indiana team, especially at home...
