The Orlando Magic head to New Orleans on Sunday to face off against the Pelicans.
The New Orleans Pelicans are sitting at 17-25 this season, and even though this team is much improved from a year ago, the Pelicans still need some work, especially on the defensive end. New Orleans is allowing 102.9 points per game this season ranking this unit 26th in the league defensively as of now. New Orleans has played better as of late however, winning two out of their last three games heading into Sunday’s meeting with the Magic, with their last win coming on Friday on the road against the Pistons.

The Orlando Magic are at 12-32 this season as this rebuilding process continues in Orlando. The Magic are having issues on both ends of the floor this season as Orlando is allowing 102.2 points per game, while scoring just over 96 per game. The Magic are 2-2 in their last four games and did get a win last time out, defeating the Lakers in Orlando on Friday 114-105. The Magic played well against the Lakers, having four different players reach double digit points on the night, with Tobias Harris having a tremendous night, finishing with 28 points and 20 boards.
The Magic are 0-7 against the spread in their last seven games on the road, and Orlando is just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games after an outright win. The Magic are also just 4-10 against the spread in their last 14 games overall.
The Pelicans are 0-3-1 against the spread in their last four after a straight up win, and the Pelicans are 0-6-1 against the spread in their last seven games against a team with a losing record.
Tough call but I’m taking the Magic here. Orlando has played better as of late, and I look for the Magic to try and carry some of that momentum over from their win against the Lakers to this game. I am a bit concerned about the injuries to Price and Vucevic for the Magic, but getting this many on the road against New Orleans looks like the side to be on.
