What has happened to the Philadelphia 76ers offense lately? After topping 100 points in nine of 10 games between the middle of December to the start of the new year, the 76ers have only done so twice in 11 games since. Is it possible that the burden on their four key players that play such heavy minutes every night starting to take a toll? It could be possible. And it's not like they are playing lockdown defensive teams either, they have faced the likes of Minnesota, Detroit, New York, Washington etc..
The Phoenix Suns are having no trouble scoring the ball themselves, if they play at home that is. The Suns are averaging right on 109 points per game at home this season, however, that number drops to just 99.3 when playing on the road, which is a massive difference. As a result, the over is 14-7 in their 21 games at US Airways Center, but it's just 9-12 when they travel. Phoenix has failed to score over 100 points in three of their last four road games, granted, two landed right on 99 and the other was 96, but that went into extra time in New York.
I was hell bent on taking the over in this one, but after looking at everything in further detail, the recent stats would suggest this game is set to go under. Now there is every chance they come out and go gang busters, which wouldn't surprise me because we are talking about two pretty fast paced teams here, however, that alone isn't enough to take the over. This is a stay away game for me, but i'll take my chances and hope they both stay under 106 points each...
