The Wizards head to Los Angeles on Wednesday night to face off against the Clippers.
The Los Angeles Clippers are currently sitting at 32-15 this year, and are atop the Pacific division, leading the Suns by four and a half games. The Clippers have one of the top offenses in the league again this season, as Los Angeles is scoring an average of 106.2 points per game, and are led by Blake Griffin, who is putting up 22.8 per outing. The only real issue I see with Los Angeles is their defense, which I do expect to tighten up come playoff time, especially if the Clippers get better on the boards. Los Angeles is playing well as of late, winning three straight, and four out of their last five heading into this meeting with the Wizards.

The Washington Wizards are playing better this season, as the Wizards are right at the .500 mark on the year, going 22-22 at this point. Washington is coming off a strong win against the Warriors on Tuesday, defeating Golden State 88-85, thanks to a very strong second half. The Wizards are led offensively by John Wall, who is scoring just under 20 points per game on the year. The Wizards have won two out of their last three games heading into Los Angeles.
The Wizards are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games against a team with an overall winning record on the year, and the Wizards are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games on the road against a winning team.
The Clippers are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games off of just one day of rest, and the Clippers are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games. The total has gone over the last six times the Clippers are coming off a double digit win in their previous outing.
The Clippers are good, but this is just too many points. I like this Washington team and I feel that they are still being undervalued, especially as of late. I don’t think the Wizards have enough to get the outright win against the Clippers, but if Washington can avoid a letdown after last night, Washington should cover this near double digit spread.
