Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans look to stay hot when they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight.
The Pelicans have won three straight and four of their last five after taking down the Cavaliers by 100-89 last night. Eric Gordon had 20 points, seven rebounds and nine assists while Anthony Davis continued his hot form with 30 points, seven rebounds and eight blocks to lead the Pelicans to 19-25 on the season and 9-14 on the road where they've won their last three. Davis did leave the game for a few minutes last night when he dislocated his finger on a reach-in, but the trainers were able to pop his finger back in and he finished the game strong so he'll be fine for tonight.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have won four of their last five and are coming off a 95-86 win against the short-handed Bulls thanks to a big night from Kevin Love who poured in 31 points. Ronny Turiaf even had himself a strong outing of 14 points and seven rebounds, but that was because he saw a season-high 32 minutes after Nikola Pekovic hurt himself midway through the first quarter and is expected to miss at least a week. Minnesota is now 22-22 overall and 10-14 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Pelicans are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Wolves are 6-1 A TS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the Pelicans are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall and 2-7 ATS in the last nine in Minnesota.
The loss of Pekovic is huge for the Wolves and I'm thinking that the Pelicans will be good enough to take advantage of it.
