The Line: Dallas Mavericks -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Sacramento Kings will be desperate to snap a five-game skid tonight when they take on the Dallas Mavericks.
The Kings have lost seven of their last eight and are looking at a possible sixth straight loss tonight after getting beaten by the Grizzlies 99-89 on Wednesday. Isaiah Thomas led the way with 24 points while Rudy Gay added 23 for the Kings but DeMarcus sat out his fourth straight game with an ankle sprain and is still listed as questionable for tonight's game against the Mavericks. If Cousins doesn't suit up, the Kings will be depending on big games from Gay and Thomas, but they also need someone like Marcus Thornton to step up and score more than the two lonely points he scored on Wednesday. Sacramento is now 15-30 overall and 9-16 at home.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks have lost four of their last six and will be still be licking their wounds after falling narrowly to the Rockets by 117-115 on Wednesday. Dirk Nowitzki had a monster game of 38 points and 17 rebounds, while Vince Carter added 22 points off the bench, but the defense let them down as the Mavs allowed the Rockets to shoot over 55 percent from the field, which is particularly disappointing because Houston were without their leading scorer in James Harden. To add insult to injury, Shawn Marion hurt his shoulder during the game, skipped practice on Thursday and is listed as day-to-day.
In ATS trends, the Kings are 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 games following a double digit loss at home and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Mavs are 41-17 ATS in their last 58 games following a loss and 5-12 ATS in their last 17 home games.
Head to head, the Kings are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings overall and 7-18-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings in Dallas.
Cousins is expected to miss this game which will mean that Thomas and Gay will have to carry the scoring duties once again. This game seems like a great spot for the Mavs and I'm taking them to win and cover against the short handed Kings tonight.
