The Memphis Grizzlies hope to make light work of the visiting Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night.
Head to head, the Bucks are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Memphis while the road team is 10-3 ATS in the last 13 meetings and the underdog is 10-3 ATS in the last 13 meetings. The Grizzlies are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games, 41-19 ATS in their last 60 games playing on 0 days rest and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Bucks on the other hand are 18-41 ATS in their last 59 games playing on 0 days rest, 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games and 23-47 ATS in their last 70 games overall.
I'm going to keep this one really short, not because I'm lazy, but because there can only be one possible play for this game. To put it bluntly, who the hell in their right mind is going to bet on this Milwaukee Bucks squad at the moment? Following their double-digit loss in Orlando last night, the Bucks dropped to 8-37 on the season and more importantly, they have covered the spread in just 15 of their 45 games to date. In fact, Milwaukee has only covered in 23 of their last 70 contests dating back to last season, which is really, really bad.
On the other hand, the Memphis Grizzlies are one of the hottest teams in the league right now, having won five straight and 10 of their last 11 overall. They just finished a stretch where they defeated Houston, Portland and Minnesota last night, all away from home mind you.
I don't think this is a slam dunk play because the Grizz are only 10-15 against the spread at home this season and this will be their fourth game in five nights, with their last three games all coming on the road. Still, the Bucks are clearly the worst team in the NBA this season and nine of their last 10 losses have all come by double-digits. It's Memphis or nothing here people...
