The San Antonio Spurs second road game in a lengthy road trip will be a stop by Washington to play a Wizards team that has won three of their last four games. These teams met back in November and the Spurs dominated 92-79.
Of course, a lot has changed since then.

The Spurs are banged up in a bad way and really relying on whoever is healthy at the moment. However, they did get good news with the return of Danny Green. The shooting guard played 30 minutes against New Orleans and scored seven points and grabbed seven rebounds. Still, this is a hobbled team that is struggling to get by. In their last five games they’re scoring just 94.8 points and allowing 98.8 points.
Meanwhile, Washington topped a .500 record with a win over Portland Monday night and could win its third straight game over a Western Conference team. The Wizards are feeling great about themselves and a lot of that has to do with defense. They’re holding teams to just 43.8 percent shooting in their last five games and averaging nine steals. This team has kind of come out of nowhere and is playing solid basketball over the last week or so.
Usually you would take the Spurs anytime they are getting points, but I’m not sure this is one of those times. They’re too banged up and playing a much younger Washington team that believes it can compete with anybody. The Spurs have covered only one in their last five games, while Washington has covered in four straight contests.
Washington has won five of its last seven home games straight up and should be able to do just enough to hold off an injured San Antonio. I'd also wait to see if the line drops a bit in your favor.
