The Cleveland Cavaliers head to Detroit on Wednesday night to face off against the Pistons.
The Detroit Pistons are sitting below the .500 mark this season, owning a record of 22-29. The Pistons are normally a great team on their home floor, but that is not the case this season as Detroit is just 12-19 at home. Detroit is solid offensively, but their defense is one of the worst in the nation right now, allowing more than 102 points per game this season. The Pistons despite all this are still very much in the post season race in the East however, as Detroit trails the eight seed Bobcats by just half a game at this point. In their last outing, the Pistons earned a solid home win against the Spurs on Monday 109-100.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are a mess this season, having a record of just 19-33 on the year. The Cavs are ranked near the bottom of the league in both points per game, and points allowed per game. The Cavs however have won three in a row right now, matching their longest win streak of the season. Cleveland has been horrible on the road however, earning just six wins away from home this season, going 6-20.
The Cavs are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games when playing on no rest and the Cavs are 2-8 against the spread in their last ten road games when playing against a team with a losing record.
The Pistons are 5-0 against the spread in their last five home games, and the Pistons are 4-0 against the spread following a win. The Pistons are also 4-1 against the spread in their last five games following a win against the spread.
The Cavs are playing better as of late, but I just can't back this team on the road. The Pistions are far from a sure thing either, but Detroit is the better team here, and on their home floor the Pistons will be tough here on Wednesday. I'd tread lightly, but I'm on the Pistons here tonight.
