The Line: Phoenix Suns -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Phoenix Suns look to kick off their playoff run with a win against the visiting Boston Celtics tonight.
The Celtics have struggled for most of the season but actually won four of their last six games heading into the break. However, you have to take that winning form with a grain of salt because all four of those wins came against teams with losing records. In fact, the Celtics haven't beaten a team with a winning record since Jan. 15 when they beat the Raptors 88-83. With the All-Star break now over and done with, Boston kicks off the second half of the season with a four-game road trip where they will be looking to improve on a 8-18 road record.

On the other hand, the Suns faced a much tougher run heading into the break which resulted in them losing three of their last four including a 103-97 loss against the Heat last Tuesday. Gerald Green led the Suns with five three pointers on his way to 26 points while Goran Dragic added 15 points and nine steals, but there was just no stopping the combination of LeBron James and Chris Bosh who combined for 58 points. The loss drops Phoenix to 30-21 on the season and 17-9 at home where they will play eight of their next nine games.
In ATS trends, the Celtics are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 1-5 ATS in their last six against the Western Conference, while the Suns are 5-0 ATS in their last five against teams with losing records and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Head to head, the road team is 13-6 ATS in the last 19 meetings and the Celtics are 2-5 ATS in the last seven overall.
At long last, the bookies have posted the spread for this game and it is the Suns who are favored by seven points at home which I think they should cover.
