The Line: Charlotte Bobcats -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans pay a visit to the Charlotte Bobcats tonight.
The Pelicans have lost three of their last four and are coming off a 98-91 loss against the Knicks despite 28 points from Eric Gordon. Anthony Davis and Austin Rivers added 14 points apiece, but with all the injuries the Pelicans have been dealing with lately, they just didn't have the firepower to stay with the Knicks who were led by 42 points from Carmelo Anthony. Also, it didn't help that the Pelicans' leading scorer from last night played less than four minutes in the fourth quarter and Davis, the Pelicans' best scoring option took just 10 shot attempts compared to the Knicks' Anthony who took 29.

On the other hand, we have the Bobcats who have won four of their last six and are coming off back to back wins over the Pistons. Last night, Al Jefferson backed up a 32-point performance with another 29 points while Kemba Walker added 24 points and 16 assists to lead the Bobcats past the Pistons by 116-98. With Jefferson dominating in the paint, the Bobcats have really been playing some great basketball lately and should find themselves above .500 in no time, but for now they are 25-30 on the season and 13-14 at home.
In ATS trends, the Pelicans are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games following a loss and 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games overall, while the Bobcats are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the Pelicans are 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings but given the form these teams are in, I would be surprised if they beat the Bobcats tonight.
I think taking the Bobcats to cover the spread at home is one of the stronger plays of the night.
