The Cleveland Cavs head North to Toronto on Friday night to face off against the Toronto Raptors.
The Toronto Raptors look to be playoff bound this season as the Raptors are sitting at 29-25 on the year, and currently the Raptors are in third place in the East, just trailing the Pacers and the Heat. Toronto is getting it done with defense this season, holding opponents to an impressive 96.7 points per game on the year, ranking the Raptors fourth in the league in scoring defense. Toronto’s offense is nothing spectacular, but if the Raptors continue to shut down the opposition, Toronto could be tricky come playoff time. In their last outing, the Raptors fell to the fourth place Bulls 94-92 at home on Wednesday.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are really struggling this season, having a record of just 22-33 on the season. The record for the Cavs is not impressive at all, but the Cavs are in the thick of things in the East, currently residing in tenth place, and trailing the final playoff team, the Bobcats by just three games. The Cavs are on fire right now, as Cleveland has won six straight, earning their sixth win in a row on Wednesday against the Magic in Cleveland. The Cavs defeated the Magic 101-93, with all five starters for the Cavs reaching double digit points.
The Cavs are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games on Fridays, and the Cavs are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games following an outright win. The Cavs are also 6-0 against the spread in their last six games overall.
The Raptors are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games against the Central, and Toronto is 10-2-1 against the spread in their last 13 games following a loss.
Toronto is tough at home, but I can’t go against the Cavs in this spot. Cleveland is on fire right now, and playing their best ball of the year. I don’t know if the Cavs will have enough to make it seven in a row, but getting more than six with this team looks like the side to be on right now.
