Chicago Bulls (29-25) at Miami Heat (39-14)

The Line: Miami Heat -7.5 -- Over/Under: 188 See the Latest Odds
Lebron James and the Miami Heat return home to face the Chicago Bulls on Sunday in prime time NBA action.
The Heat are 5-14 ATS in their last 19 vs. Eastern Conference, 7-20 ATS in their last 27 home games following a road trip of 7 or more days and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games. The Bulls on the other hand are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 road games, 13-3 ATS in their last 16 vs. Eastern Conference and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Given that Lebron James and Jimmy Butler are questionable for today's showdown, there has yet to be a line released for this game. Whatever the line may end up being, my initial lean is on the Chicago Bulls for a couple of reasons.
You wouldn't really know it, but the Bulls have been one of the better teams in the entire NBA since the start of 2014 and enter today's game riding a five-game winning streak, both straight up and against the spread. With Joakim Noah and a stingy defense leading the way, Chicago now sits four games over .500 as they continue their climb up the Eastern Conference standings. The Bulls also already defeated the Heat by 20 points at the United Center earlier this season, however Miami had won the previous five meetings.
While the Heat are in some really nice form themselves, winning the last four games of their six-game Western road swing, which included a 103-81 beat down of the Oklahoma City Thunder to end the trip, their form at home recently hasn't been great, covering the spread just once in their last five. Let's also not forget that this will be Miami's first game back from a long road trip, a situation that never bodes well for the home team.
The Bulls are my pick here. They are playing really solid basketball at the moment and you know they always play with a little extra something when they come up against the Heat...
