The Orlando Magic will again be without Arron Afflalo tonight when they take on the Washington Wizards.
The Magic haven't won a road game in more than two months and that streak is likely to continue as they will be without Arron Afflalo again. On Sunday, Tobias Harris had a big game of 28 points on 10 of 15 shooting, while E'Twaun Moore added 16 points, but the rest of the team shot below 40 percent from the field which meant that the Magic could never recover from an abysmal 14-point first quarter. Defensively, the Magic were outrebounded by 50-32 but were able to force 23 turnovers to their nine which kept the final score respectable.

On the other hand, the Wizards are coming off a third straight win after beat the Cavaliers by 96-83 on Sunday. John Wall led the way with 21 points and nine assists while Bradley Beal added 17 points, but the best thing about the road win was the Wizards' second half defense which held the Cavs to 31 points, including just 11 in the fourth quarter. However, the win came with a bitter aftertaste as Nene left in the third quarter with a knee sprain and it has been confirmed as a sprained MCL which means he will miss four to six weeks.
In ATS trends, the Magic are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss of more than 10 points and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Wizards are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last four home games.
Head to head, the Magic are 1-7 ATS in the last eight meetings and 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings in Washington.
My initial thought was that the spread was a couple points too big for this matchup, but you only have to look at the two ATS stats I noted above to see why I'm still taking the home team in this one.
