Two of the bottom teams in the Western Conference meet tonight when the Sacramento Kings take on the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Kings have won three of their last five but will be looking to rebound after getting trounced by the Rockets by 129-103 on Tuesday. Rudy Gay led the team with 25 points while DeMarcus Cousins added 16 before needing to be restrained after getting ejected in the third quarter following one of his spats, but this game was done and dusted after the Rockets won the first quarter by 42-17 thanks to James Harden who scored 22 before sitting out the fourth quarter with 43 points. Sacramento will want to forget about that loss as soon as possible because before that, they actually beat the Celtics at home and the Nuggets on the road which shows that they can win when they focus.

Meanwhile, the Lakers have lost seven of their last eight and will be looking to avoid a fourth straight loss after falling to the Grizzlies by 108-103 on Wednesday. Jodie Meeks led six players in double figures with 19 points while Wesley Johnson added 18 points as the Lakers fought back from a 64-46 halftime deficit but fell just short just short in the end, despite making seven of 10 three-point attempts in the furious fourth quarter rally. With the loss, LA falls to 19-39 overall and 10-21 on the road, but tonight they return home where they had lost eight straight before beating the Celtics on Friday.
In ATS trends, the Kings are 5-0 ATS in their last five games following a loss of more than 10 points and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall, while the Lakers are 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.
Head to head, the Kings are 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings overall and the Over is 10-4 in the last 14 meetings in LA.
With Cousins suspended for this game, I think the edge goes with the streaky Lakers who play so much better at home.
